RipOffReport.com (Rip Off Report) complaints can hurt your business.

RipOffReport.com (Rip Off Report) complaints can hurt your business.

Having a rip off report complaint listed on ripoffreport.com is certainly not good for business. I am sure everyone in business can agree with that.

Why is a RipOffReport.com complaint so damaging? Even if a ripoff report complaint is false or simply full of obvious lies, it can and will hurt your business. Most people (internet users) don’t search for your company directly on rip off report to find complaints filed against you; they normally find these complaints on Google. If you have a complaint about your company on ripoff report and someone searches for your company name or keywords related to your company, chances are they will find the ripoffreport.com complaints ranking very high on search engines like Google.

Even if they don’t read the complaint they still see your name associates with a RIP OFF! Think about it, would you want to buy something from someone who might be a rip off? Or would you buy from a competitor who has no known complaints? I would buy from your competitor, even if they cost more.

I have seen businesses go out of business because of how a negative ripoff report complaint impacted their sales. If you have a “rip off report” about your company showing up on Google, you had better act fast and aggressively to make it go away.

Let me warn you now: Contacting ripoffreport.com to complain about your complaint can make it worse and even replying to your complaint and telling your side of the story can make it show up higher on search engines. Do not add fuel to the fire. The ripoffreport.com website even says that they never remove complaints even if the original person who posted it asks for it to be removed!

There are many ways to combat a ripoff report complaint. The most common method is working on creating positive information about your company name and posting it all over the internet on several hundred blogs and websites. These positive entries if create right and on the right websites can push the ripoff report complaint down the search engine results.

There are dozens of companies that offer reputation management services and offer the service to remove ripoff reports from the search engines top results. These companies can charge anywhere from $1500-$9000 depending on how many complaints you have showing up on Google and other Search engines and how difficult the keywords are. Sometimes you can do this type of work on your own if you have hours to spend doing this monthly and some extra cash to spend on SEO techniques.

If you are serious about getting ripoffreport.com complaints off of Googles top results and pushing it back a few pages then you might want to hire a company that specializes in doing just that. One company that we found ReputationArmor.com offers to remove ripoff reports from top search results. You can contact them for a quote and more information on this service.

It may be difficult or impossible to remove rip off reports from ripoffreport.com and from the search engine results. We’ve found the best way to remove rip off report negative listings is to dilute the first, second and third page of results with more relevant web pages about your company - thus making the negative postings stay out of view. This makes it seem as if the Rip Off Report has been removed, when in reality it has been pushed back to a search result page rarely if ever visited. Tips for Removing RipOffReport.com Complaints

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

RipoffReport.com is a website that allows anyone to say anything about anybody, without verification on whether or not the statements or complaints are true. This “freedom” gives unethical consumers and businesses an unfair edge against innocent people and companies. RipOffReport.com (Ripoffreport) (ROR) complaints find their way to Google’s search results usually within 24 hours or less, so you can count on people finding these complaints when they search your name or company name.

A ripoffreport complaint against you or your company can be embarrassing and cost you unwanted mental and financial stress. No matter how hard you try or what you do it is virtually impossible to make or have the website (ROR) remove the complaints or statements about you or your company. RipOffReport.com says: ”As is our policy, we never remove reports even when they are claimed to contain defamatory statements, and even if the original author requests it.”

Seem fair? No it does not. RipOffReport.com basically says they don’t care if the complaints or statements are true. They will never remove it from their website, even if the person, who submitted the complaint to them, says it was fake and not true.

So how can you keep people from seeing the ripoffreport.com complaint? You need to work on getting it off of or pushed down deep in the search engine results. For example if someone searched your company name or name and they see a ripoffreport complaint about you right there in the top 3, 5, or 10 results, then you need to push that listing down at least off of the first page of search results. People rarely go past the first page of search results on search engines and it is even rarer for someone to go to page 3-5. You need to get that complaint “removed” from the 1st and 2nd page if possible!

Tips on Removing Rip-Off Report Complaints:

1. Create a personal or business blog. Register a domain at Moniker.com or Godaddy.com. Install WordPress. Add Content. When you choose your domain name try to get a .com or .net and try to make the name a keyword like “YourName.com” or “Your-Company-Name.com”. This way it will rank higher on Google. Then Install a Blog like WordPress, go to wordpress.org – It’s easy! Now add content “entries” with titles that include the proper keywords.

2. Create a positive press release and submit it to PRWeb.com. Write a simple positive press release about you or your company. Use keywords like your name in the title and many times in the body of the press release.

3. Time for social networking. Join as many social networking websites and forums. Use your name a lot on your account and when saying anything. Add your name to your signature. Use your name as usernames. Sample sites: MySpace, FaceBook, YouTube etc..

4. Hire bloggers from places like BlogForMoney.com and pay then to blog about your or your company. This will create more positive entries online about you.

5. Hire a reputation management company that specializes in removing ripoffreport.com complaints. Reputationarmor.com has successfully helped hundreds of clients remove (displace) rip off report complaints.

If you find yourself on ripoffreport.com your first instinct may be to contact them and tell them to remove it. If you do this, they will simply try to get you to pay for their expensive “Consumer Advocacy Program” or they will make your ripoffreport listing (complaint) more visible. It is best not to contact them at all. They are NOT going to take it off of their website no matter what you do or say. Also, DO NOT post a reply to the complaint on ripoffreport.com explaining “your side” of the story. By posting a rebuttal or reply to the complaint all you are doing is “refreshing” the post (complaint) with more information and making it more appealing to the search engines, thus making it show up higher in search results.

Fake RipOffReport.com Complaints

Many RipOffReport.com Complaints Are Fake

Many innocent people and companies find themselves a victim of the website that claims it is “helping you the consumer”. I don’t think it helps the consumers as much as they “the consumer using ROR” and “rip-off report” think. I believe that the “rip off report” website pledge should be changed to something like “Helping Destroy Reputations with Lies”. The fact is most of the complaints on small businesses found on the ripoffreport.com website are false, fake, frivolous, unverified, entries.

The problem with the ripoffreport.com website is anyone with an email address that can type a few words can ruin a businesses reputation and business, simply by making up a bunch of negative lies. To top it off the website’s (ripoffreport.com) attitude toward the businesses that are the true victims of these lies seems to be “There is noting you can do about it” and “We will never remove a complaint even if we know it is a lie”.
I wanted to test how easy it was to make a fake complaint so I created a false complaint against a name that does not exist online. I searched Google for the name I made up and got zero results. I searched everywhere online and got zero results when searching the name. I then went and create an account simply by verifying my email address. I then posted my little FAKE rant about a lady who was writing bad checks. The person’s name I made up is/was Alley Mandooyee. If you search Google for the name I made up: Alley Mandooyee you will see a RipOffReport.com complaint, you can also see the complaint here on the ripoffreport website (assuming they have not removed it).

See The Fake ROR Complaint: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/407/RipOff0407797.htm
See, if it is possible to post a completely fake complaint on a completely fake person, don’t you think it would be very easy to make a fake or false complaint about anyone? This is not good. It is something that thousands abuse and thousands are victims of. There should be some type of guidelines or proof of doing business with someone required in order to post a complaint about them. I mean you can go on there right now and say your postman has been stealing your mail, or your local bakery spits in there baked goods.
How can the complaints on ripoffreport.com be taken seriously, if there is no verification process or proof of the complaint? I understand the concept of consumer complaint sites, but the ROR site is defeating the purpose. The purpose should be to find true and accurate information about companies you plan to do business with. In my opinion RipOffReport.com is worthless to consumers and serves only as a playground for trouble makers and extortionists.
